Trip to Texas

The Mohrmann family took a little mini-vacation this weekend to Plano, Texas. My aunt, uncle, & cousin moved there from Atlanta in March. It had been since before Ben was born that we last saw them...way too long! My aunt & uncle had a wedding to go to, so we gladly ventured to the great state of Texas to "watch" Yael who is 14 and their 3 large dogs. The kids & I flew down Thursday afternoon and G came after work on Friday. We enjoyed our time with Yael and got to see her perform in a play. She had been attending a 3 week drama camp and had their final performance on Saturday. We'll get to see Yael while we are in Canada and hopefully her parents too! Mack (her brother) and his girlfriend will be up while we are as well. It's been since Will & Erin's wedding in September 2007 since we have see the McCorkle/Spaethe Crew, so we are excited for Canada!

Richmond's Lake House

Friday afternoon we took a little trip to our friends, The Richmond's, lake house in Cuba, MO. Henry & Ben had so much fun! (So did G and myself.) We came back home Saturday afternoon, so it was a short trip...short but fun.

Friday morning Ben had a follow up doctor's appointment from his double ear infection 4 weeks ago. Henry got to hang out with his Zee-Zee at the Holiday Inn pool. (Rae's friends Judy & John were in town visiting and invited us to swim at their hotel pool.) Ben and Mommy joined the fun after getting the clean bill of health from the doctor. We came home from the pool around 11:30, had lunch and both kids crashed. I packed for our lake trip and had to wake up both kids at 3:30 so we could get into the car when G got home. We had a GREAT time and enjoyed being with our friends. Thanks Marty, Jennifer, Jordan, & Cooper for the great lake fun! Below you will see our weekend in pictures!

Happy Father's Day

We had a WONDERFUL weekend...I have pictures that I will post later this week.

This post is for G....he is THE best husband, EVER. He is also a fabulous father to Henry & Ben. I sure couldn't raise these 2 kids on my own and I would not want anyone else by my side for all the fun (and challenging) things that come with being a parent.

I can't forget my own father today....he is wonderful too! I am thankful to have such a loving and giving Dad. He and my mom are in Canada but we did get to talk to him today. We'll get to see both my parents the end of July when we go to Canada for a week. Love you Dad! Happy Father's Day!

So after church this morning we went to the zoo (pictures coming soon) and everyone had a great time. This evening we went to Rae's house for dinner. Henry & Ben got their Daddy a new wallet, a polo shirt, and some running pants. Henry loves presents and couldn't wait for G to open his. We let him open the gifts before dinner instead of after since Henry couldn't wait.

HOT Day Today

It was one HOT day here in St. Louis today. We gave in and turned on the AC...only because it's suppose to be very hot again tomorrow. Henry was at school and Ben was at the sitter today, so I had a day ALL to myself! WOOHOO! It was nice to be able to do what I wanted to. This evening while G was off teaching his Spin class, the kids and I played outside. We were thankful for the trees in our yard that provided shade, because even at 6:00 in the evening, it was still very warm!

Look Who LOVES Skgetti

Tonight we had spaghetti for dinner. Henry calls it skgetti. Both kids LOVE LOVE LOVE to eat, especially spaghetti. I had to take pictures because they were way too cute. I always take Ben's shirt off when he eats spaghetti because he gets it everywhere. We went right to the bathtub when Ben was finished. Yes, they both have spatulas....not sure why, but they wanted to use them and it was not a fight I wanted to have, so I just handed them over.
