Soccer

Today as all about soccer!  Nana and Papa are in town visiting and got a taste of what our Saturdays will be like from now until Thanksgiving!  Ben had his second game of the season at 9am and Henry had his first at 12:30pm.  Both boys did a great job and Ben's experience today was MUCH better than last week.  I had a conference all day, but I am told it wasn't pretty.  So we are glad today went better.  Zee-Zee was able to be at both games as well, so the kids loved having all their grandparents there to cheer them on.  We think Ben's team won (they don't really keep score) and Henry's team lost.

He's not that into it for games, but he loves practices!

Cross Country

We have a runner in family!  Henry is running Cross Country for his school this year!  He had his first meet today at Lutheran North (Where G went to HS).  The group he runs with are 1st and 2nd grade boys, so he is the youngest in the group.  Henry did AWESOME for his first meet!  We are so very proud of our little runner!!

At the start... There were about 40-50 kids in this group!  They ran 600m.  Henry is the 4th from the right in the red and white.

Finishing strong!  He beat the kid right there next to him at the end!

Afterwards, drinking his gatorade and showing off his ribbon!

Henry and Zee-Zee
Since this meet was on a Tuesday, Zee-Zee picked up Henry from school and got him to the meet on time.  This is one of the only ones she'll be able to see since most of the other meets are on Monday or Wednesday.  Henry was very glad Zee-Zee was able to be there to cheer him on!  Thanks Zee-Zee!

Cardinal Game

Happy Labor Day!
We sure enjoyed having the day off of work and school.  We went to the Cardinal baseball game this afternoon.  Henry and Ben each won 2 tickets from the summer reading program they completed through the St. Louis County Library.  It was a hot and muggy day, but the Cards won!  We left around the 5th inning.  2 little guys were tired, hot, and crabby!

Waiting for the train to take us downtown.

Ready for the game!

More Arkansas

Today we celebrate Will's birthday (really 09.05) before we headed back to St. Louis.  We got together with some of Will and Erin's friends at a park near their house to play sand volleyball and have burgers and hot dogs.  The kids had a blast and enjoyed playing before sitting in the car for 5 hours.

Arkansas Visit

We were in Arkansas this weekend, visiting family.  We had a house full!  12 of us staying at my parents house!  We drove down Friday night and stayed until Sunday around 1:00pm.  We got to see family we haven't seen since last Labor Day weekend!  And also celebrated birthdays and my parent's 40th Anniversary!  Henry and Ben loved getting to see cousins Stella and Maddy who are just 3 days apart.  We had a great weekend and were thankful it didn't rain the entire time!
