Henry had a soccer clinic on Sunday which he LOVED and then had his first practice tonight. All 12 little players came to our first practice and it was....well....chaotic! All the kids seemed to have fun, which is great. We have 12 kids on the team and all are boys except for one little girl. They were super excited that we got our uniforms AND that we named our team, The Sharks. Our first game is September 11 and we won't have practice before then because of Labor Day Monday.

Race Day
Today both Henry and I ran in races. I participated in a 6K (3.7 miles around Creve Coeur Lake) and Henry ran in a 1/4 mile run. I did pretty good considering I was 3rd in my age group and the 6th female overall. It was a beautiful, not very hot & humid morning. Fred Bird was in attendance for the kid's race....Ben is still scared of Fred Bird. Both kids enjoyed the after race refreshments of lemonade and donuts!

Ellie Grace Turns 5
It is hard to believe, but Ellie Grace is now 5!! It is hard to believe that Henry's 5th birthday is just around the corner. Henry and Ben enjoyed playing at Ellie and Addie's house to celebrate.
Henry and Ben....Henry knows that the cake is coming!

Ben's Second Day
Ben's second day of school went MUCH better than the first! He was happy when I left and didn't even want to say good-bye to me. I was able to get a few pictures!

Henry + Soccer and Ben + School
Henry is all signed up and ready for soccer this fall.......check out his cleats, shin guards, and socks! Is my little boy really old enough to play? YUP! And guess who is coaches are...Mom & Dad! We have practices on Monday nights and games starting 09.11.10!
Ben started "school" today. He is going to UCDC, where Henry goes and is starting out in the same class Henry did 2 years ago. Ben cried lots this morning, but after about 10-15 minutes, he was fine and threw a HUGE fit when G went to pick him up from school because he didn't want to leave. He loves his teachers and has one of the same ones that Henry did. I cannot believe my baby boy is starting school!

Hanging with Sawyer
Our friends the Collins family came into town for Rae's party. After Rae's fun party, we took naps and then headed to the hotel that Sawyer, his parents, and grandparents were staying at to go swimming. The kids had SO much fun! We then went to Break Away Cafe with everyone and then came back to our house for leftover cake. We always enjoy seeing Sawyer (and his parents and grandparents) and it was nice to get to spend the evening with him.
50 State Rae Party
On Saturday afternoon we had a surprise party for Rae. In June Rae ran her 50th state marathon in Alaska. We planned a surprise party and were successful in pulling it off! Below are pictures from the party. We had it at a park near our house with about 100 of Rae's friends and family in attendance. We had delicious food, drinks, and cake. The weather was cooperative, a bit hot, but not as hot as it could have been for August in St. Louis! Congrats Rae!!
