Uncle Max's Early Birthday
Uncle Max's birthday is not until March 13...but Uncle Max lives in Portland, OR! We don't know when we'll get to see him again, so we went ahead & celebrated his birthday while he was in town visiting us. This was Sunday (02.22.09) afternoon & Ben was already taking a nap, so just Henry got to help blow out the candle and have a cookie. Henry loves when Uncle Max visits because they love to play! Pretty soon Uncle Max will be getting tackled by 2 little guys as Ben is growing like a weed!

Happy Birthday Nana!
This is long over due! (Sorry Mom!) My Mom's birthday was on Monday the 23rd and they were here visiting us last weekend. We celebrated Nana's birthday Saturday night complete with an Angel Food cake (her favorite) that I made that somehow keep slowing shrinking away. I guess I didn't let it set or something. Anyway, it was still good & Henry and Ben enjoyed singing Happy Birthday to their favorite Nana!

Wide-Awake
I have been up since 4:15....not by choice, but little Ben decided that he wanted to be wide-awake. I went up and gave him the pacifier and came back down and got snuggled into my bed. For about 10 minutes....then little Henry decided it was time to be wide-awake. Henry came into our room saying he was wet (he is potty-trained, but sleeps in a pull-up over night) and that his bed was wet. I was too tired and warm to take him up to his wet bed, so he climbed into our bed and in about 2 minutes was asleep and snoring. Since having his tonsils out in July, Henry does not snore, but both he and Ben have been stuffed up and have runny noses at the moment. So there is snoring in my bed. I can't sleep, either can G, but we both stay in our bed....until 5:10 when I can hear Ben screaming...he is still awake and NOT going back to sleep. SO, I get up with him because at this point both Henry & G are alseep. I give him his bottle and he acts all snuggly and like he wants to go back to sleep, YES! I bring him into our bed (all 4 of us in there now) and he lays on my chest....for .3 seconds and decides to be wide-awake. Ben and I go into the kitchen where I eat breakfast and he eats some Puffs. Now we are in the basement playing, since that is what a wide-awake 9 month old wants to do at 5:45 in the morning. What a start to a Thursday! OH and did I mention that last night when G and I got into bed, neither one of us could fall asleep and it was 10:55 the last time I looked at the clock?!!?
On another note...Henry came home from school yesterday with a necklace for me...I LOVE it and am wearing it to school today. Below is a picture of my first (of many I am sure) macaroni necklaces.

Ben's 9 Month Stats
Tonight was Ben's 9 month appointment. He is a very healthy little man who is growing like a weed! He is 21 lbs. 12 oz. (69th percentile) and 29.5 inches (90th percentile). He only got one shot and was a trooper through it. Henry was with us and got a hold of my camera...he took all of the following pictures. I deleted about 15 of them....didn't think you needed to see the trash can, the chairs in the exam room, the floor...you get the picture. At least taking random pictures kept Henry entertained while we had to wait.

9 Months Old
Seriously....am I already 9 months old? I guess so! Hard for my Mommy to believe, but it's true. I am getting to be such a big boy. I still have just 4 teeth, the 2 tops & 2 bottoms. I am working on 2 more on top, but they haven't broken through the skin just yet. I kind of clap my hands and get SOOO excited when it's time to eat that I yell & scream a lot.
Henry & Turbo are my favorites. I love my Daddy too...he is always making funny faces, singing silly songs, and dancing. My Mommy is my #1 lady. I love it when she comes in the door to pick me up from Peggy's house....I crawl right to her & pull up on her leg & yell until she picks me up. Speaking of crawling & pulling up, I try to pull up on everything. I try for the steps, but someone always stops me first.
I am an okay sleeper. I don't take good naps, but usually I am in bed by 7 pm and I will sleep until around 5:30 am. Sometimes (like this morning) I like to wake up early, 4:44 am! I have said Dada, but my Daddy has yet to hear it. Mommy & Henry have and Henry is trying to get me to say his name. I think maybe I will work on saying Mama next. She is always trying to get me to say that! I am getting more hair on the back and it looks kind of curly. My eyes have stayed a hazel color that sometimes look on the green side. (like my Daddy!)
My parents finally got me out of the infant carrier car seat...it's about time! I was over the weight limit & the length limit. I really like my new car seat...it's sooo much better than that small infant carrier. I can't wait until I am 1 and I can sit facing forward. I go to the doctor on Wednesday for some more shots & to see how big I have gotten. I have been healthy so far this winter. Just a stuffy nose now & then and a random cough that has to do with our crazy 70 degree weather after 2 weeks of just above zero!
Below are pictures my mom took of me this morning...I was not being very cooperative, but she wanted to get some taken to post on here for all of you who stop in and check on me. Thanks for seeing what we are doing. Love to you all! Benton A. Mohrmann (BAM BAM, as my brother Henry likes to call me!)

Conference
Yesterday G and I had our first conference with Henry's teacher. We are SOOO proud of our little man! Pam (the teacher) could not say enough positive & wonderful things about Henry. He is doing so good in all the areas and loves to play with his friends. One of his favorite things to do is paint and he also LOVES the water table. Henry and 7 others from his class are moving up to the next class (from the 2's to the 3's) starting March 2. Thank goodness his 2 "best" friends are moving up too, Frankie and Henry Clear. We got the neatest portfolio from his teachers. There are a ton of pictures and pieces of his artwork for us to have. I love it! We have had such a positive experience at his school and we can't wait for Ben to get the same experience as well. Even though Henry only goes 2 days a week, he has really learned a lot and started to come out of his shell...believe it or not, at school he is on the shy side and does not talk a whole lot. VERY different from the Henry we have at home and also at Peggy's (the babysitter) house. At least he is well-behaved and listens to his teachers and follows directions. Just wanted to brag on my little guy. He is growing up WAY too fast for me. I was looking at the "Henry Book" as he calls it (the portfolio), last night and had tears in my eyes...he has only been at the school since August and has already grown and changed sooo much! G then reminded me pretty soon I would be looking at his high school yearbook & doing the same thing. I can't even think about that! Anyway, have a happy day! Sorry there are no pictures to go along with this post. Just me bragging on my smart kid!

Zee-Zee's Birthday
Sunday was Zee-Zee's birthday. After church we went out to eat at Steak N Shake. Ben slept most of the time and Henry enjoyed playing with G's glass of ice water. After nap, Zee-Zee & NoNo came over for a movie & dinner. Henry helped me decorate a cake for Zee-Zee and he got a little crazy with the red sprinkles. You will notice in the picture that part of the cake has LOTS of red and the other has hardly any. He wanted to cover the entire cake with even more sprinkles, but thankfully we ran out. Happy Birthday Zee-Zee!
Breakfast For Dinner
Saturday night the Richmond family came over for dinner....we had a "theme" and it was breakfast for dinner. Everyone had to wear pajamas, even the parents! Jordan & Henry loved having chocolate chip pancakes and toast for dinner. I didn't get a group shot, but I got this cute one of Henry & Jordan in their jammies after a yummy breakfast. Oh, did I mention that Marty came to our door in only his boxers? I was laughing so hard he had to ask me to open the door & let him in before our neighbors saw him. Luckily, he brought PJ pants to wear once they arrived! And no, I didn't get a picture!
Cute Boys
Saturday morning was a Mohrmann Family Affair...G and I both ran in a 3 mile race in Forest Park. G pushed Henry and ran with Turbo while I pushed Ben. I wanted Ben, as he is only 24 lbs., unlike Henry who is 40 lbs. Being nice to our fellow runners, we started at the back of the race since we had strollers and a dog. NEVER AGAIN! We zig-zaged this way & that for the first half mile to get past all the walkers and slower runners. It was hard work and I didn't even have the dog with me! Both G and I had much slower times, but it was a beautiful morning to be out and Henry & Ben were both great. Turbo was too, after about the first mile. I took some pictures of our cute kids that morning. Henry loves his RUN DMC shirt and also his tatoo that he is proudly showing off. Ben LOVES to eat, as you can see in the picture below. He does not care for baby food either...it has to be "real" food. He makes a mess, but Turbo sure loves to eat whatever he drops onto the floor.

One Blessed Mommy
I have the best kids...EVER! They are soooo sweet & cute & wonderful. I took this picture of Ben & Henry yesterday and it was WAY too cute to not show off. I know that I take TONS and TONS of pictures of my children, but one day they will be all grown up with families of their own and I will want to remember my sweet little guys. When they wanted to give me hugs & kisses...when their faces would light up when I would walk into the room. So, enjoy this picture which is my favorite one of my 2 sons....favorite one for now that is!
