Crazy Henry

Our Henry is one FUNNY kid! Last night our neighbor JJ came over to play. Henry tells us ALL the time that JJ is his best friend. They LOVE to play with each other and ride bikes. JJ just turned 4 and actually goes to the same school that Henry does. (They are in different classes since Henry is just over 2 1/2.) SO, Henry & JJ were playing and posing for the camera and I was able to get some REALLY funny pictures of them. After JJ left, we made pirate hats with Henry, which he thought were hilarious. I really should have gotten the video camera out last night, but at least I was able to capture it with pictures.

H & B Baptism Pics

After Ben's baptism, Gregg and I looked back at Henry's baptism pictures and were trying to decide if they still look alike. At birth, they looked like twins! But I think now, they look like brothers, but not identical. Take a peek and see what you think:

Baptism Pictures

Below are pictures of Ben in his baptism "outfit." It's actually only part of the entire outfit, since he has a big head and the dress part would not fit over his head. This outfit is what my grandfather wore to be baptized, my father, myself, my brothers, and also Henry. Ben was only able to wear the cape-thingy, but you would have never known if I hadn't told you! He was SUCH a good boy during the ceremony. These pictures weren't taken until a few days afterwards. I forgot to snap some pictures of just him in the outfit, so the other night after a bath I dressed him up again and got some good ones.
"You mean this is a DRESS, Mom? COME ON!"
"You are kidding, right?!"
"You even put this hat-thing on me? Have you taken enough pictures yet Mom?"
"Okay, I will look nice and sweet for you so you stop flashing that camera in my face."
This one is my favorite...my ADORABLE Benton August!

Happy Birthday!

Dear Daddy,
You are THE BEST Daddy in the whole world and we love you very much. You always like to play with us and sing songs with us. You let us tackle you and tickle you and wrestle with you. We love you and want to wish you a VERY happy 35th birthday. Thank you for working so hard and always coming home to us, ready to play, no matter the kind of day you have had. You and Mommy make a great team! Happy Birthday!
Love from your 2 sons,
Henry William Mohrmann & Benton August Mohrmann

To my G:

You are a wonderful husband and father. I don't know what I would do without you, I know I wouldn't be able to raise 2 sons without your help...we do make a great team! Thank you for all the help around the house and always putting your family first. You are the best role model and hero our little guys could ever have. Thanks for loving me and supporting me through this journey. I am excited about what God has in store for us and I am even more excited that I get to go through this jouney with you by my side. You are the greatest! I love you and thank God everyday for sending you into my life. I hope you have a wonderful 35th birthday!

I Love You,
Biner

Ben's Baptism

Today our little Benton August had his baptism. We had family in town and Henry LOVED every minute of attention from his grandparents, uncles, and aunt. My brother and sister-in-law (Will & Erin) came in town with my parents and are Ben's Godparents. (Gregg's cousin Kristen is also a Godparent, but she is a Cpt. in the US Army and deployed right now.) Ben did great throughout the baptism. Afterwards, we had everyone at our house for a little celebration. Below you will see pictures from Ben's special day.

Random Thoughts

Well school is back in session and I have to admit I really wish I could only be a part-time teacher! I sure miss my 2 little kiddos during the day. I love my job, but I love my Henry & Ben more!! They are both adjusting well to me being back at work and being at Peggy's (the babysitter). Henry LOVES school and that is all he wants to talk about. He tells anyone who will listen that there are "2 Henry in my class." (Henry M. & Henry C.) Today while I was fixing dinner, G was outside hanging out with the kids. Henry was riding his bike up and down the driveway and Ben was sitting on G's lap, looking EXTRA SUPER cute and of couse, I had to take some pictures. Yes, I know I take WAY too many pictures of my kids, but I have always been a picture-taker. G thinks we have too many pictures in our house and I have to admit, we kind of have a lot. I have taken a few down, but there are still quite a few!

Tonight when I was running I was thinking about our life before having kids and man was that easy! I could basically do what I wanted, when I wanted, and only had to make sure the dog was fed and let outside a few times each day. There are times I wish I wasn't so busy, that I had time to sit down and finish the book that I started over 3 weeks ago, that I could pee without having Henry following me into the bathroom, asking to flush the toilet and trying to hand me an entire roll of toilet paper, that I could workout right after work, instead of the crack of dawn, or once the kids are in bed, that I could drive in the car without having to sing Old MacDonald Had a Farm or The Itsy Bitsy Spider, that I could hop on a plane and take a last minute trip with just me & G, that I could sleep in past 6:00am on a Saturday, or really just get one night where I go to bed at 10pm and get to sleep through until 6am. But I wouldn't trade my 2 beautiful, wonderful, sweet, handsome, smiling, healthy kids for ANYTHING in the world. I am SO lucky to be their mom and when I start wishing I could get more sleep or have just 10 minutes to myself, I stop and think of Henry's smile and Ben's giggles and my heart melts. I am totally, completely, 100% in love with the 3 best men in the entire world...my husband of almost 5 years, G, and our 2 sons, Henry & Ben.

First Day of School

Today was Henry's first day of school! He had an AWESOME day! We get a daily report and it said he ate all of his breakfast (keep in mind he had a normal breakfast at home before going to school), all of his lunch, and all of his snack after nap! Our little man loves to eat. Below you will see pictures from this morning. Notice Henry has a new haircut and also brand new shoes! They make him run SUPER fast, according to him at least. I dropped Henry off and G took little Ben to the sitters. Ben also had a good day at the sitters, his first without big brother Henry there. I had only 13 of my 20 students show up today. Who misses the first day of school!??! Well, most of the kids in our district take a week or 2 to actually show up. Maybe more will come tomorrow.

I think he was ready for me to leave and to quit taking pictures...he got to feed the fish first thing and then he started playing with some cars with a few of the other kids.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow the kids come...I have been back at work since Tuesday, and tomorrow my new group of second graders arrive. Tomorrow Henry also starts his school! He is still going to Peggy, the sitter, but on Mondays and Wednesdays he will be in school. I know it's not kindergarten, but he seems to be growing up VERY fast this summer. Yesterday he got his hair cut and we went and got new shoes. He already wears a size 10! So, I am posting some of my favorite Henry pictures from LAST summer, when he was just 18 months old. Boy has he grown!

This just makes me laugh
And so does this picture....he HAD to have the goggles on!
It's an empty bottle, don't worry...he thought he was being SO funny by pretending to take a drink from a "Daddy Drink."

Shower in Sedalia

Today, Sunday, I traveled to Sedalia with little Ben for my friend Kelly's bridal shower. Kelly is one of my most favorite people in the entire world and it was SO nice to see her and get to visit. Ben and I went early, so we could hang out and he got to snuggle with his Auntie Kelly. He also got to see his birthday buddy....Kelly's Dad shares Ben's birthday, May 13. Ben was VERY & good at the shower and in the car. Ben wasn't the only male at the shower. Kelly has a 2 1/2 week old nephew, Kellan. Kelly's sister, Emily, was there with Baby Kellan. Even though it was a quick trip, it was well worth it. Kelly got some great gifts and can finally get rid of those kitchen appliances we used back in college!! :)

3 Months Old

"Hey there! I am 3 months old today!!"

"I know! I can't believe it either! My Mommy is back at work now and she is sad to leave me, but I am having fun at my babysitters with my big brother Henry."

"My family tells me I am SO cute...I have to agree with them. I love to smile and am loving being a little Mohrmann Man."

NC Friends

Our North Carolina friends, the Cardenas Family, came for a visit! They were passing through St. Louis and stayed Thursday night with us. There were LOTS of boys in the Mohrmann house...Becki & I were the only girls! Jon & Becki have 2 boys as well, Cooper (turned 3 in May) and Gabe (will be 1 on Aug. 31). Henry & Cooper were instant buddies and had so much fun playing. We sure wish they didn't live soooo far away! We get to see them again the end of September, so we are all looking forward to that. Below you can see Cooper & Henry in action....Ben pretty much hung out in his bouncy and Gabe was on the move, having just learned to walk! (Neither Jon or G appear in any picture....yes, they both were around, but it's funny they didn't make it into any pics!)
