WOW!

Parenting is NOT easy...it's hard and tiring and stressful! I have realized that I need more patience than I ever imagined to be mom to my 2 1/2 year old son. I knew being a parent would be hard, I knew it would be tough and trying, but I never imagined this! I think that working full time also adds to the stress of parenting. It's hard to work all day (espeically teaching 2nd graders!) and come home to your own kids, husband, dog, house, dinner, etc! That being said, I LOVE MY LIFE! I really do and I would not change a single thing about it. I love my kids and even though I get stressed and Henry & his tantrums and fits drive me bonkers, I know one day, when he is grown up with a family of his own, I will long for the days of him being 2 and wanting to give me hugs and kisses and sit on my lap while I read the same book 5 times. Below are some pictures of what we have been up to the last few weeks.

My new favorite picture of Henry & Ben...the other night before bed. They were laying next to each other and Henry wanted me to take a picture...love it!

4 Months Old

Hi! It's me, Ben Mohrmann. I am 4 months old today. I am growing up so fast...my Mommy & Daddy can't believe it's been 4 months since I was born. I am a BIG boy. I go to the doctor this week (I was suppose to go last week, but my Dr. was sick!) so we'll find out how big I am soon. I can roll over from my back to my front. I LOVE my big brother, except when he yells in my face and tries to shove my pacifier into my mouth when my Mommy isn't looking. I also LOVE my Turbo dog. She makes me laugh and when I do she licks my face! I love to sit in my Bumbo seat and I smile all the time. I also like to drool...all OVER the place! My family is doing great. We are just hanging out here at home this weekend. Right now I am talking to my Daddy. I am finding my voice and it's SO much fun! Hog Game

On Saturday, we hung out with Nana, Papa, Uncle Will, & Aunt Erin. Henry got to practice using his fishing pole and enjoyed wearing his new rubber boots. After nap, Henry & Ben put on their Razorback shirts and got ready for the big HOG game. We went to the Cress family house for dinner and viewing of the pay-per-view game. We celebrated Uncle Will's birthday with cake and singing to him, both of which Henry LOVED.

We had a fun weekend with our family, but today it was hard to get up and back into our routine. We have a busy week ahead, as Ben will be 4 months old this coming weekend! We have his 4 month check-up and I have Open House here at school this week as well. Busy, but enjoying our little guys!

Surprise Uncle Will!

On Friday September 5, 2008, my baby brother Will turned 25!! We surprised him by showing up at his birthday bash. He had NO idea we were coming into town and he LOVED it! Henry & Ben stayed at the party for about 10 minutes before being taken to the Kraner house by Nana & Papa. We didn't get to the party until 9:30 pm, so the kiddos were ready for bed. The party had a theme...come as your favorite A** Kicker...so G was Hulk Hogan and I was a Nun. G (I mean Hulk Hogan) has a real mustache, bleached on the drive from STL to AR! We had a good time and loved getting to hang out without kids! :)

Labor Day Fun

On Monday, September 1, our family spent the morning at a 5K race. Both G and myself ran in the race while G's mom watched Henry & Ben for us. Henry LOVED all the "snacks" afterward. There was also a kids triathlon after our race and Henry really could not understand why he couldn't be in the triathlon. We told him you have to be 7...he immediately said, "I seven now, I do the race NOW!" It was really funny. Below are some pictures from our day.
