O' Christmas Tree

We finally got our tree up! After many attempts (the base we had was too small for our thick-trunked-tree) we got our tree up Thursday night. Henry loves it and Ben is facinated by the lights. Henry got to put the star on top of the tree (with the help of Daddy) and Ben just tried to touch the tree & eat it. Mommy ended up putting most of the ornaments on the tree, but at least it hasn't toppled over yet. We are hoping it stays standing until after Christmas.

We are looking forward to the holidays this year. We have part 1 of 3 of family Christmas celebrations today. Gregg's uncle & aunt are coming from DC today. We'll have a celebration after Henry & Ben have afternoon naps and then dinner with them. We have busy weekends until Christmas, and actually through January! Time just seems to fly by since having kids. We are enjoying our little ones. Last night, both kids slept through the night! Only the second time since Ben was born on May 13! Ben was up around 5:45 & Henry was up shortly afterwards. We had cinnamon rolls this morning since Henry stayed in his bed all night. It's a big deal at the Mohrmann house to get cinnamon rolls. Now, the kids are playing here in the basement, I have about 5 loads of laundry calling my name, & G is fixing Henry's old highchair so that little brother Ben can start sitting in it.

Below are the pictures of our Christmas deocrations. I didn't get any of the attempts to put up the tree, as I was holding the tree, trying to keep Henry from going outside & Ben from rolling face first off the couch! You can create your own mental picture of the chaos that was happening at our house. Enjoy!
Waiting for the tree, Wednesday evening (we never got it up Wed. night!)

Thursday, Dec. 4....the tree us up! Henry putting the star at the top with the help of Daddy.

Mommy & Ben...yes, he was trying to get the needles & lights and put them into his mouth.

Thank you for sharing! Chaos is a good word to use when putting up a tree with a little one around!
