Bowling & Fireworks

On Friday July 3 G was off work and we had a fun day and evening with the kids. Our day started off with Ben falling forehead first into the sidewalk.....

Ouch does not even beging to describe the boo-boo on his head! He is a trooper however and is fine, of course! After naps, we went bowling. It was Henry's first time and he loved it! He scored a 77 and the only reason Mommy broke 100 was that there were bumpers up and I took turns with Heather (Mom to the 2 cuties below, Caitlyn & Lauren).

After our afternoon of bowling, we went downtown to the Met Square Building to watch the fireworks with The Arch & Mississippi River in the background. Many thanks to our host, Quinn Murphy and his family! The plan was for the 4 of us to go down together and then once Ben got tired, I would leave with him and then G and Henry take the Metro Link home after the fireworks show was over. Well Ben was a trooper and stayed happy & fun until about 9:40, when Henry also got grumpy, so we all left together. We got to see about half of the fireworks show which was very neat. Both kids had so much fun and even slept in on Saturday. They both are usually up around 6 am, but Ben slept until 8 and Henry until 9!
