The Mohrmann Family: Birthday Weekend

This was an extra long weekend for me since I was off work on Thursday & Friday for snow days! It was kind of nice since today is my birthday! Friday night we had Rae over for dinner & a movie. Saturday morning I ran in a 4M race in Forest Park and got to wear my new winter running shirt from G and the kids. It was quite chilly, but the sun was out, so it didn't seem too bad. G and the kids stayed at home because poor Ben was still running a fever and not feeling too good. I came home, showered, and we went to a job sight that David (G's co-worker) was at so we could "ride" the lift machine. We went to lunch and then home for what should have been naps, but neither kid took one!

Henry & Ben had a sleepover with Zee-Zee last night so that G and I could attend the UCDC Mouse Race Fundraiser. We had a great time and thanks to our friends Zack, Beth, JJ, Eric, Theresa, and Jason who came and supported Henry & Ben's school.

Today we went to church and then got breakfast sandwiches to eat at home for "brunch." Henry's class was going to see a play this afternoon and G and Rae went with him. I stayed at home with Ben. We were going to a birthday party, but he still wasn't feeling 100%. No more fever, but still looked miserable. I think an afternoon with mom was just what he needed, as he seems to be feeling MUCH better this evening! We went out to eat to celebrate my 33rd birthday and then came home and enjoyed a chocolate cake made by all 3 Mohrmann boys! What a lucky lady I am! All of my boys were extra sweet today and treated me like a queen. Thanks guys! I love you past space & back!!
