Henry's Update

Since Ben gets monthly updates, I felt like I was leaving Henry out, so here is a post that is all about my 3 year old! Henry has been taking swim lessons for 7 weeks now and he is LOVING it! He goes on Monday nights and this past Monday I got a picture of him before his class started. He looks soooo big! Next week is his last lesson for this session and he is very excited, as the teachers have said they get to go down the slide. Henry has asked about the slide since his first class. I am signing him up for the next session, just 6 weeks, to get him into the summer. I am still trying to find a class for him over the summer.

So my little man is growing up fast. He is such a smart 3 year old! (at least I think so) Henry knows all of his letters, uppercase and lowercase. He can count to 20 and recognizes all the numbers. As for shapes, he knows square, circle, triangle, and star. He knows all the basic colors and loves to tell me when he sees something pink, since that is my favorite color. He can dress and undress himself and even put on socks and shoes (velcro ones!).

Henry is a wonderful big brother, most of the time. He loves Ben and tells me that Ben is his best friend. He also tells me that when Ben gets big, they are going to play together and that he'll share all of his toys with him. We'll see about the toy sharing thing!

School is one of Henry's most favorite things! He goes just 2 days a week and always has lots to tell us after a fun day. Starting in August, Henry will go 3 days a week. If it wasn't for our wonderful sitter, he would probably go all 5 days!

I could go on and on about my first born, but I will stop there. Here is a picture from Monday night before his swim lessons started. He looks SO big...he is a big boy, but he seems so grown up!
