Race Day

Sunday = Race Day! Three out of the Four Mohrmanns raced today! We started out bright and early on this beautiful morning with me (Kara) running my second half marathon in 7 weeks! Then G ran a 5K followed by Henry running (with the help of Zee-Zee) a kids half mile fun run. My parents and Ben were the cheering section for everyone. Jordan Richmond also ran the kids fun run and I hear she was fast! (I didn't get to see anyone else's race, as I was running...and running....and running!)

G did GREAT in his race. He was the 6th person to cross the finish line, second in his age group. Henry got a medal for finishing his race. I did better than my previous 2 half marathons, finishing under 2 hours at 1:58:58! WOOHOOO! (My first half time was 2:05 in Nov. 2004 and my other time was 2:02 in Sept. 2009.) This course was quite difficult, but very pretty. We ran from The Center of Clayton to Forest Park, around Forest Park, and back to The Center of Clayton. Rae's friend John also ran the half and placed first in his age group!

We had a fun day and were happy to have a rain-free weekend. Below are pictures from the races.
