Last October when we took an adult only trip to Indian Lake in Cuba, MO with Marty and Jen Richmond, I dropped our camera into the lake. Marty was my hero and rescued the water-logged device. We dried it out and after about 4 days, it worked!! And worked quite well up until about a week ago. I noticed when Ben had his tonsils out that it sometimes wouldn't turn on and other times would do really goofy things. Well I went to turn it on the other day and it tried to power up and died. I charged the battery and that didn't help. So I decided that it might be time to get a new camera.
The kids and I went to the camera shop and the guys there were very surprised that it worked so long after being dropped into water. They said a lot of times they will dry out and work for a few weeks, but usually no longer than a month or two. I guess since we got close to 9 months out of the thing after being dropped in water, we should be happy. So I bit the bullet so to say and got a new camera. I have had fun figuring the new one out and getting all our picture downloaded onto the computer with the new software.
Here are a few new pictures....
