15 Months Old

Benton is 15 months old....he was acutally 15 months old last Thursday! Today he had his check-up appointment and he is a very healthy little guy. He weighs 26 lbs. 8 oz. which is the 75th percentile. He has been in or around the 75th percentile since birth, with the exception of his chunky time at 2 months when he was up in the 90th percentile! Looking back at pictures, he was pretty chunky then. Of course he has a huge head still, but he is on that 98th percentile curve, so the doctor is not worried. Ben has had a growth spurt....he is now in the 90th percentile for height at just under 33 inches. He was following the 75th percentile curve, but has been doing some growing lately.

Little man takes one nap a day, in the afternoon from around 1-3ish. Sometimes at home he will take a 30-45 minute nap in the morning. At the sitters, there is way too much going on and a morning nap would mean he would miss out on something!

Ben has 12 teeth with 4 more coming in......his bottom molars and those tow next to them (don't know the names of teeth, sorry) are all getting ready to peek through anytime. He loves to eat anything and everything. That has not changed since this little one was born. He has always been a good eater and continues to be. He loves red sauce and pasta. Pizza is a favorite as well as veggies. He loves green beans, lima beans, peas, and sweet potatoes. Bananas would have to be his favorite fruit. I cannot keep enough bananas in the house. I cannot keep enough of ANYTHING in this house! All 3 of my boys are eaters.

My only concern in Ben's development is that he is not talking as much as I remember Henry doing at 15 months. I know this is VERY common for a second child especially when the oldest is a very vocal child. Don't get me wrong, Ben says Mama, Dada, and dog but that is about it. He understands everything we tell him and points and attempts to make the sounds we do. Our doctor said he is in no way concerned and to just try to work with him with Henry is not around.

The other thing Ben loves to do is wave bye-bye and give kisses. If I say, "I love you Ben" he smiles and gives me a kiss! What a sweet boy. He also blows kisses which is pretty cute too.

That is about it for the update on our littlest Mohrmann man. He did have to get 2 vaccines which he cried for, but stopped as soon as I picked him up. Ben was very ready for bed tonight and hopefully he will sleep through the night. (He normally sleeps from 7pm to 6am.)

Thanks for checking in on our little Benton. We sure love him and are excited at how he is growing and changing everyday!
