The Mohrmann Family: Fun Weekend

What great weather we are having here! Usually this time of year it's very hot and humid. For some reason we had BEAUTIFUL weather all weekend long. Saturday morning I got up and ran 10 miles with Rae and her running group. My half marathon is coming up and doing these long runs on the weekend by myself can be boring, so she invited me to run with her group Saturday morning. What a great morning for a run! Forest Park was filled with people running and biking and golfing. I just love Forest Park and it's so nice to see so many people out enjoying it.

When I got back we loaded up the kids and sent shopping for some new shoes for Ben. The little stinker is growing so fast! Henry was sad he didn't get new ones, but the ones he has still fit. He was happy about getting a balloon and several cookies from the wonderful lady at Lauri's Shoes. She also gave him a quarter for a gum ball! What a treat. On the way home we stopped at a great playground at an elementary school in Brentwood and then had lunch at Taco Bell. It was a great lunch to have after running 10 miles!

After nap our friends The Richmonds came over for a little Luau and birthday party for G and Jordan. G's birthday is the 25th and Jordan turns 7 on the 26th. Jennifer made a pinata which the kids LOVED. It was a great evening for the kids to play outside while the adults got the chance to visit.

Sunday after church we packed a picnic lunch and went to Forest Park. When they did some major renovations of the park, there was a push for donations and we donated some money and got a brick at the new fountains they out in. We had yet to see our brick, so after we ate, we went on a mission to find the brick....we could NOT find the thing! Thank goodess I kept the paper telling us it's location in the car. So we walked back and on our way home, we drove by the bricks and I found it! We all had a great time at the park and would have stayed all afternoon if it wasn't for some much needed naptime.
