17 months ago, our little Benton August Mohrmann made his way into this world. After this month, he will officially be closer to turning 2 than he is to being 1. I am sad....so sad! He is growing up literally before our eyes. Ben is such a wonderful addition to our family that I cannot imagine our lives without him. Here is a brief update on Ben, without pictures. Yes, I know it's unusual for me to post WITHOUT pictures, but our camera has died and gone to camera heaven. I dropped it into the water and it could not be revived. I am researching a new one, so until we purchase a new camera, we are photo less. On to the Ben update:
* Ben LOVES to eat, using a spoon in his left hand. If you hand it to his right hand, he switches to the left.
* Some of his favorite foods are, all things red sauce, bananas, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, ice cream, fruit cups, green beans, lima beans, cheese sticks, crackers, hamburger helper, pizza. I know there are many others, but those would be a short list of his favorites.
* Ben has 16 teeth. He is only missing his 4 molars that are called the two-year-old-molars.
* Ben loves to scream (thanks to Henry) and has a VERY loud voice.
* Ben does NOT like his car seat most of the time. He does the infamous ARCH. For those of you who have experienced this know exactly what I am talking about. It makes it quite difficult to get your child into the seat.
* Ben loves his big brother and also his Turbo dog.
* Ben is talking more. He says Mama, Dada, dog, Turbo (durdo), bye, uh-oh.
* Ben makes the best growl noise. This is hilarious and I need to get it on video.
* Ben takes a 2+ hour nap every afternoon and then is in bed by 7pm and up around 6:15am. He only gets his pacifier in his crib and we have one more month before the pacifier goes away for good!
* Ben can drink from a straw and attempts to use a big boy cup. He LOVES milk and water. If I let him, I think he would drink milk all day, everyday.
We have finally recovered from the swine flu at our house. Henry never did get sick! Ben ended up having pneumonia along with an ear infection. He finished the antibiotic over the weekend, so hopefully we won't be going to the doctor until his 18 month check-up next month!
Thanks for checking in on our family!
