Camping Trip

Friday after work, we headed down to a State Park in Bonne Terre, MO, a little over an hour south of St. Louis. We met our friends the Collins family as well as Mr. & Mrs. Collins (Sam's parents). This was our second camping trip with the kids and we once again took the silver bullet. Henry and Ben had a blast! We had a pretty night Friday, got to eat outside by the campfire and the kids got to play on the playground. I brought cupcakes to celebrate Ben's birthday which everyone (young and old) enjoyed! Sam cooked us a fabulous dinner with the help of his wife and mom. The food was delicious to say the least! After the "babies" went to sleep Henry got to enjoy S'mores with the grow-ups. He was in heaven!

Everyone slept great....all 4 of us in the silver bullet, plus Turbo. Around 5am we hear rain, saw lightning and had some thunder. We were VERY glad to be in the camper! We were also glad that Mr. & Mrs. Collins have a super deluxe camper that kept us all dry while eating breakfast and lunch on Saturday! And many thanks to Mrs. Collins for bringing the coloring books and bubbles to entertain the 3 crazy boys that were cooped up all morning. We headed back to St. Louis after our lunch on Saturday. Ben was asleep before we even pulled out of the parking area! Henry was out by the time we got out of the State Park. Everyone slept until we got home and then both boys slept another hour!

We had a GREAT time with all of the Collins Crew! Thanks for including us. Henry and Ben sure enjoyed having Sawyer to play with.
